I'm happy to make all sorts of cakes, but I don't often get the chance to make a cake for a baptism. This was Baptism cake number two, and nothing like the first one.This cake was based on an image the client wanted me to make, only she wanted it "simpler". She liked a couple of the details from the cake, but not the composition so I brought it back to basics and made her a cute but elegant cake. She wanted simply pink details, but I felt a lift was needed so I dusted everything with edible gold dust. Every cakes needs a bit of sunshine! The sentiment the client wanted on the cake was heartwarming, and I hope it fit her day perfectly.
